National Beef Packing recognized for excellence in beef

Asheville, N.C. – Sept. 25, 2019 – National Beef Packing, Kansas City, Mo., was recognized with the Golden Box and Fabricator Proficiency awards by the Certified Angus Beef ® brand for leadership in product quality, marketing and sales. The awards were presented at the brand’s Annual Conference, held Sept. 23-25, in Asheville, N.C. Brand partners at the conference, including meat processors, distributors, chefs, retailers and cattle ranchers, explored merchandising and marketing solutions to satisfy growing consumer demand for great-tasting beef.

The Golden Box award recognized National Beef for achieving precise product specifications and elevating the overall customer experience with the Certified Angus Beef ® brand. The company excelled in product workmanship, attention to detail at plant level, packaging and product performance to ensure the best possible experience for distributors, retailers, chefs and ultimately, consumers. In addition, National Beef received the Fabricator Proficiency Award, recognizing its company-wide focus on merchandising the most beef from each carcass meeting the brand’s high standards.

Celebrating 35 years of leadership with the brand, National Beef in Dodge City, Kan., was named the Top Sales Volume Fabricator for the seventh consecutive year. The Liberal, Kan., location was recognized as the No. 2 Sales Volume Fabricator, and National Beef was named the No. 2 Sales Volume International Packer.

Additionally, National Beef Dodge City received the 5 Million Head Certified Award. The award recognized its cumulative number of carcasses certified for the brand since its first days as a participating fabricator.
