Sysco Columbia LLC recognized for excellence in beef

Asheville, N.C. – Sept. 24, 2019 – Sysco Columbia LLC, Columbia, S.C., was recognized with the Foodservice Value-added Products Marketer of the Year award by the Certified Angus Beef ® brand for leadership in product quality, marketing and sales. The award was presented at the brand’s Annual Conference, held Sept. 23-25, in Asheville, N.C. Brand partners at the conference, including meat processors, distributors, chefs, retailers and cattle ranchers, explored merchandising and marketing solutions to satisfy growing consumer demand for great-tasting beef.

With team focus on customer success, Sysco Columbia guided customer selection of fresh beef cuts and timesaving menu items to serve in restaurants, hotels and schools. Timesaving product selections included the brand’s all-beef frankfurters, Philly steaks and fully cooked prime rib. Hands-on meat cutting for the sales team helped them identify the best cuts for customers’ menus, as they guided restaurateurs to ensure the branded beef is easily identifiable by name to assure restaurant patrons of its quality. These comprehensive efforts led Sysco Columbia also to receive the No. 4 Sales Volume Extra-Large Broadline Foodservice Distributor award.
