MAUI, Hawaii – Sysco Montana, Billings, Mont., was recognized with the Broadline Foodservice Distributor Marketer of the Year award at the Certified Angus Beef ® Annual Conference, held in Maui Sept. 26-28, for leadership in product quality, marketing and sales. Brand partners, including meat processors, distributors, chefs, retailers and cattle ranchers, celebrated the brand’s 40th anniversary and explored merchandising and marketing solutions to satisfy growing consumer demand for great-tasting beef.

Sysco Montana delivers top-quality steaks and scratch-made beef items to restaurants in the five-state region. Beef demonstrations at the company’s food show helped customers choose newer cuts for the menu. Ground beef training for the staff and regular promotions also give customers menu options throughout the year. At an on-farm training with farming families, the staff learned about and then shared with chefs how the Certified Angus Beef ® brand ensures great-tasting beef for their culinary creations. These efforts also led Sysco Montana to receive the No. 5 Sales Volume Large Broadline Foodservice Distributor award.
