The Griffin Report of the Northeast has named Chef Ashley Breneman, executive chef with the Certified Angus Beef ® brand, among its Women of Influence in the Food Industry.

“These women play a significant role in their companies through their leadership, expertise and dedication, and beyond their companies through their charity, philanthropy and civic work,” said Kevin Griffin, publisher, in the 14th annual report on Women of Influence. “They are all passionate about their families, companies, customers and communities.”

Breneman joined the brand’s culinary team in 2013. Today, she leads menu ideation at the Certified Angus Beef ® Culinary Center, sharing unique experiences for chefs, restaurateurs and foodservice representatives to spark innovation with beef on menus.

“Teaching daily about something you feel so passionate about makes for a great day at work,” she says. “Having the chance to be a part of the beef community in this role is the most rewarding for me. There is always the opportunity to make positive contributions to the food industry in my role.”

An ambassador with the Kind Campaign and advisory committee member for the Wayne County (Ohio) Schools Career Center, Breneman shares advice for upcoming professionals: “Stay unique and try strange things. Be bold and be different. Strength lies in differences, not in similarities.”
