Chef Michael Midgley, owner of the renowned restaurant Midgley’s Public House, located in Stockton, Calif., was highlighted recently for his efforts to help those affected by one the deadliest wildfires in the state of California. His donation to the people of Paradise, a community in the Stockton area destroyed by the fire, involved his new food truck. His wife, Laci, shared that they just purchased the truck a week before.

“We know that time is of the essence, so even though we just got the truck, we felt we had to help out now,” Laci shared.

With donations from Lincoln Center, Sysco and Certified Angus Beef LLC, Chef Midgley was able to serve cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips and water to 1,000 people in need.
