Certified Angus Beef ® brand University, the interactive, online training for brand partners, was recently recognized with two awards: the Silver Omni Educational Award for sales enablement training and Silver Communicator Award for online educational video. The Omni Awards recognize outstanding media productions all around that world that engage, empower and enlighten. The training concept was designed by AllenComm, a digital learning agency focused on helping companies create innovative, performance-based learning experiences.

“The Omni Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the areas of media and marketing. The Silver Omni means the work we did was some of the best around the globe,” says Gregg Ward, director of learning solutions at AllenComm. “The media we developed together was truly engaging, empowering and enlightening. That, in our experience, is the very definition of sales enablement.”

Certified Angus Beef ® brand University aligns the brand’s messaging and tools into an easy, mobile-friendly format. The first class for foodservice sales associates combined the brand’s on-farm heritage with beef quality, sales solutions and customer consultation for them to assist chefs in serving the finest beef while meeting their menu needs. The class can be completed in less than an hour, giving them strategies to implement in short order.

“This easy-to-access, online training is designed to give each participant confidence in his or her own role within our beef community,” says Danielle Matter, a senior education and events manager for the Certified Angus Beef ® brand. “Through the training, the students develop a personalized brand story to share the brand’s heritage and quality with customers, guiding their success.”

Nearly 5,000 foodservice professionals and counting have competed the training. An additional program provides training for waitstaff in restaurants.
