Often known as “The Legend” of barbecue, Mike Mills recently hosted the 8th annual Whole Hog Extravaganza at his 17th Street BBQ location in Murphysboro, Ill.

The event is renowned within the barbecue community for attracting leaders, who gather to build connections, share ideas and enjoy some amazing, smoked creations.

Among the attendees were Certified Angus Beef ®  brand Senior Corporate Chef Michael Ollier and Test Kitchen Manager Gavin Pinto, along with fellow barbecue leaders John Lewis (Lewis Barbecue) and Barry Sorkin (Smoque BBQ).

“It’s humbling to be in the midst of barbecue legends and other great talents in the food world,” said Pinto.
