A recent article by Wyatt Bechtel on Drovers.com featured a spotlight on Troy Freeman, the artist responsible for painting 37 of the 40 barns for the Certified Angus Beef ® brand’s Brand the Barn campaign.

In the story, Freeman recaps some of his adventures—from the drive from his home in Springfield, Ill., to his first barn in Ridge Spring, S.C., to the connections he made with the families who participated. He also talks about the hiccups, like the rain that seemed to follow to every stop, and the earthquakes and tornadoes. Through it all, Freeman executed each logo with precision, using more than 175 gallons of paint.

“They [The Certified Angus Beef ® brand team] exuded excellence in everything they did, and they took care of me. I think that just made me want to go that extra mile,” Freeman said of the experience.
