Asheville, N.C. – Sept. 24, 2019 – Sysco in Cincinnati was recognized as the No. 5 Sales Volume Medium Broadline Foodservice Distributor by the Certified Angus Beef ® brand. The award was presented at the brand’s Annual Conference, held Sept. 23-25, in Asheville, N.C. Brand partners at the conference, including meat processors, distributors, chefs, retailers and cattle ranchers, explored merchandising and marketing solutions to satisfy growing consumer demand for great-tasting beef.

In its 20th year of offering the branded beef, Sysco Cincinnati focused on its quality in outreach to top steakhouses and restaurants in the market. The team worked closely with each restaurant to select the best cuts for the menu, with traditional favorites, like ribeye, strip and filet mignon, among the most requested. Customers also participated in two educational programs at the Certified Angus Beef ® Culinary Center, where they cut steaks and visited with the center’s beef experts about creative menu items.
