Tyson Fresh Meat recognized for sales, certification
MAUI, Hawaii – Tyson Fresh Meat, Dakota City, Neb., was recognized with the No. 3 Sales Volume Fabricator award at the Certified Angus Beef ® Annual Conference, held in Maui Sept. 26-28, for leadership in product quality, marketing and sales. Brand partners, including meat processors, distributors, chefs, retailers and cattle ranchers, celebrated the brand’s 40th anniversary and explored merchandising and marketing solutions to satisfy growing consumer demand for great-tasting beef.
Tyson’s Dakota City, Neb., location is the top supplier of Certified Angus Beef ® brand Prime. For the Dakota City location’s 25th year offering the brand, growth was led by ground beef sales. In Joslin, Ill., the Tyson team added sales with every subprimal to maximize production at this one-shift location while also earing a Top Five Sales Volume Fabricator award. Tyson in Pasco, Wash., earned a One Million Head Certified award for the number of beef sides meeting the brand’s high standards since the plant first began offering the products.
