Foodland Super Markets named Small Retail Chain Marketer of the Year
MAUI, Hawaii – Foodland Super Markets, Honolulu, Hawaii, was recognized with the Small Retail Chain Marketer of the Year award at the Certified Angus Beef ® Annual Conference, held in Maui Sept. 26-28, for leadership in product quality, marketing and sales. Brand partners, including meat processors, distributors, chefs, retailers and cattle ranchers, celebrated the brand’s 40th anniversary and explored merchandising and marketing solutions to satisfy growing consumer demand for great-tasting beef.
Foodland Super Markets helps shoppers serve the best beef, providing them with meal suggestions on television and radio, and in the weekly sales flyers. For the chain’s 70th anniversary, and 10th year offering the brand, stores featured beef cuts for 70 consecutive days. In-store butchers also recommend their favorite beef cuts on social media and one-on-one with customers at the meat case. Chef Keoni Chang presents recipe videos to help families enjoy beef in a wider selection of meals. Through Foodland’s focus on quality, the retailer also earned the No. 4 Sales Volume Small Chain Retailer award. Foodland served as a host to conference guests in Maui, with Chang preparing a luncheon for retailers from around the world.
